Raisa M. Rodriguez Torres, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she earned her Masters Degree in Social Work, and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology. Currently she's a Licensed Social Worker residing in New York City working directly with recently arrived immigrant families in shelter and also holding her private practice. Raisa specializes in Trauma, Managing Depression and Anxiety with young adults (18-35) and aging/geriatric adults (60+).
Her practice is multi-culturally centered and trauma informed, and her goal is to provide a safe space were you can feel comfortable, heard, and at ease to develop skills and identify inner strengths.
Raisa has also experience working abroad in South America with children of the community of Barracas in Buenos Aires, Arg. She loves spending time with family and friends, two beloved cats, reading and traveling.
