Natalie Asalgado is a bilingual, Latinx social worker and psychotherapist based in New York City. She specializes in working with adults who are exploring what their race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality mean to them, experiencing anxiety and depression, adjusting to new environments, or working on improving their communication with loved ones.
During sessions, Natalie combines her knowledge of psychodynamic theory, emotionally focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy with an anti-oppressive lens to help clients better understand how they can use their strengths to navigate everyday life.
Natalie received her Certificate in Family and Couples Therapy at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. She obtained her Master of Social Work from New York University and Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Brown University. She previously interned with the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights and the Children's Day Unit at the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
Natalie is currently seeing English and Spanish-speaking clients remotely.
