Preferred Gender Pronouns
Lizeth Toscano is a Latina mother to a two year old son. Lizeth provides individualized therapy based on the cultural, socio-political, and diverse needs of individuals, families and children. Lizeth believes that relationships and experiences shape who we are. In therapy, part of the healing process is gaining insight and awareness of how experiences affect us in the here and now. Therapy will help you learn your triggers and learn healthy coping skills to get through difficult times in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Lizeth is a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist. She has over 6 years of experience in working with children, families, and adults. Although she provides therapy to all age groups, she has extensive experience in working with the little ones (0-5 years old) in helping them overcome behavior problems, anxiety, traumas, etc. She obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Southern California in hope to continue ending the cycle of violence in her family and community. Over the course of her career, she has worked in early mental health and prenatal mental health. In addition, Lizeth has been a lead trainer in Trauma Informed Care and Trauma Informed Nonviolent-Parenting. She has facilitated workshops and classes for parents in community based organizations, LAUSD and domestic violence shelters.
