Biography

Jasmin Berrios is an outstanding psychotherapist with a keen ability to compassionately identify key factors that significantly affect the lives of the community she serves. With over 15 years of experience providing leadership and direct service in the social/mental health, educational, non-profit/community and healthcare service arenas, Jasmin is passionate about supporting people and communities in their restorative journey as they move towards happier, healthier and empowered paths forward. Currently, Jasmin is a Program Director at a NYC non-profit, supporting four of its Community Schools. She also has a private psychotherapy practice, is a leadership/program consultant, a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), a Professional Organizer and member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO).

As a therapist, her approach is eclectic and trauma-informed and is inclusive of various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Anti-oppressive, Experiential, Play and Person-Centered therapies, among others. Jasmin earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego, her master’s degree in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and completed postgraduate training in Relational Trauma Therapy and Attachment Focused Family Therapy from Ackerman Institute for the Family. Prior to her current role at PWC, she served as the Program Director for Healthy Families New York, a home-based program focused on improving maternal/infant health outcomes and early childhood development.
