Biography

E. Ramón Chaparro (he/him/his) is a 3rd generation Black Boricua with roots in New Jersey and Arkansas who currently resides in Denver. He has a BA in Religious Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and a MA in Counseling - Multicultural Clinical Mental Health from University of Colorado Denver. Ramón is registered as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and works as a behavioral health provider at Sheridan Health Services, an integrated care clinic serving a predominantly Latinx neighborhood in southwest Denver Metro. His work has focused on trauma, anxiety, and identity disruption related to experiences of racism, migration, and religious/spiritual transition. Ramón is passionate about finding creative ways to make culturally responsive, healing centered engagement accessible to community members working for the common good.
