“I am a Chicano practitioner and the son of migrant workers. The goal of my work is to provide a caring, safe, and supportive environment where destructive thoughts, habits, and behaviors can be challenged and transformed. I am a Latino, POC affirming, anti-racist, trans allied, actor/artist, LGBTQ+ therapist. I support all those struggling through depression, anxiety, and identity issues and take into account the role of culture and politics on identity development and self- esteem.
My style of counseling uses evidence-based, culturally competent approaches including Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic practices. The process is collaborative and strengths focused. Through goal oriented counseling clients develop the awareness and skills to maintain long-lasting, positive transformations.
My practice focuses on a client-centered approach where diversity is celebrated, experiences are validated, and problems can be processed and confronted using a compassionate approach. I offer individual and family therapy with a flexible weekly schedule.”
